Ready to Jo to Lidl RDC 02/02/2026

Grant Palmer is pleased to announce a significant enhancement to its Jo bus service, starting Sunday 23 February 2026, with new early morning and evening journeys designed to support LIDL RDC shift changes six days a week.

The service enhancements introduce a range of new journeys, improving accessibility for workers and local residents alike. New early morning departures include a 4:42am journey from LIDL RDC and a 5:15am departure from Luton Interchange, ensuring reliable transport for early shift starts.

Additional evening journeys will also be introduced, with departures from LIDL RDC at 18:45, 19:42 and 21:45, alongside a new 21:15 departure from Luton Interchange, offering greater flexibility for later finishes.

The Jo service is open to everyone, and is particularly ideal for residents of Linmere and Elmers Gate, providing fast and dependable links between LIDL RDC and Luton Interchange. Buses operate via the Luton–Dunstable Busway, delivering journey times of under 30 minutes from LIDL RDC to Luton Interchange, with improved reliability thanks to the dedicated route.

Passengers can take advantage of HipHop tickets, which are accepted and sold on the Jo service. For just £14.50, customers receive unlimited travel for one week across Luton and Dunstable, with tickets also valid on Centrebus and Arriva services.

Thomas Manship, Commercial Manager at Grant Palmer, said:

“We are proud to be working with Linmere, Central Bedfordshire Council and LIDL RDC to provide these enhanced Jo services. In under 12 months, the Jo service has already carried thousands of people, and we can’t wait to welcome new customers who are ready to Jo.”
