B530 closure

The B530 is closed from Kempston Hardwick to the Interchange Retail Park. Due to this closure all journeys on service 42 will be diverted. Buses will operate from Bedford Retail Park to the A6, Houghton Conquest and rejoin normal line of route. 

Bus stops at BCA and Juniper Gardens will not be served for the duration of the closure. We advise customers on service 42 to allow additional time for their journey, refer to our app for live bus tracking and revisit this page for future updates once the B530 reopens.

Oliver Street - Ampthill

Due to the closure of Oliver Street in Ampthill, the 68 service will be on diversion through Abbey Lane to the 101 garage where it will continue up to the Albion. Stops along Oliver Street are not able to be served during this time.

Anglian Water works: Hitchin Street

Hitchin Street, Biggleswade will be closed from 8 June 2026 for works by Anglian Water. This is expected to continue until November 2026.

Route 74 (Bedford – Biggleswade – Hitchin) will operate as normal between Bedford and Biggleswade Bus Station, journeys south of Biggleswade will not serve Biggleswade Railway Station Interchange, Teal Road or stops on Hitchin Street, and will return to normal line of route at Broom Turn. Buses south of Biggleswade will be re-timed, with some running earlier than current times. Some early and late journeys will start or end at Holme Mills and not run through to Biggleswade Bus Station.

Route 200 (Biggleswade – Shefford – Flitwick) will run to usual times, but will not serve Biggleswade Railway Station Interchange, Teal Road or stops on Hitchin Street.

Broadmead Street - Stewartby

Due to the closure of Broadmead Street in Stewartby, the 68 service will be diverting through Green Lane and serving Kiln Drive before starting at Montgomery Close.

Houghton Conquest

Bedford Road in Houghton Conquest is closed, due to this, the 42 service will be diverting through How End Road, up the High Street, and looping around the Broadway. All stops along Bedford Road are unable to be served during this time.

Biddenham Turn closure

Due to cadent gas works Biddenham Turn will be closed. Services 41 and S1 will operate via the A4280. Customers are advised to use the temporary stops along the A4280.
