FREE bus service to Emberton Country Park 07/07/2025

Emberton Country Park is marking its 60th anniversary with a fun packed two-day event for all the family on 12–13 July.
Grant Palmer Ltd will be providing a free bus service for the event between Central Milton Keynes, MK University Hospital and Emberton Country Park. The bus will run up to every hour on both days. The bus service is free to use with no need to book in advance, simply head to one of the stops along the route and signal for the bus to stop.
Emberton Country Park is a 200 acre park that was restored after gravel extraction to make the nation’s first country park in 1965. It has three play areas, lakes for fishing, camping, a sailing club and a café.
To celebrate Emberton Country Park being 60 years old, a whole host of free activities are planned to appeal to all ages and tastes.

- Live music from Crossroots, Steve Maidla and Dirty Lotus
- 16th Lancers Display Troop (Saturday)

- Chainsaw carving and tree cutting demonstration
- Nature-inspired walks and talks
- Food from local suppliers and a bar at Emberton Café

There is something for everyone at this event, from a quiet bird hide in the conservation area, to wildlife charities on site to inform and educate and walks in nature. There will also be the Environment Agency, Bucks Fire and Rescue, Thames Valley Police and SUEZ Recycling.
