Brittania Road reopens

Brittania Road has reopened, which means our 42 and 44 services will resume their normal line of route. Buses from Bedford Bus Station will now serve the stops on Kingsway Link, opposite Borough Hall and the new stops on Brittania Road. Going forward, services 42 and 44 will not serve the stop on St John's Street.

Don't forget, for a short hop between Bedford Hospital and Bedford Bus Station, it's only 99p single. Find out more about our 42 and 44 services here

Leighton Buzzard High Street closure

Central Bedfordshire Council has agreed to proceed with pedestrianising the High Street in Leighton Buzzard and making Lake Street one-way only for traffic from Saturday 20 June 2020.

This is a temporary arrangement designed to support the high street businesses re-opening and the return of the market to the High Street following the easing of the coronavirus lockdown restrictions. Closing the High Street to traffic will enable people to use all of the space available safely to aid social distancing.

Although this is a temporary change to the area, there is no end date established as this will depend on the national health crisis and government guidance.

Service 36C will transfer from the High Street to West Street. Central Bedfordshire Council are upgrading the stops at West Street with benches, raised platforms for easy access and real time information.
